David's Concert at Gödör, 28 of January 2012.

At 9 o’clock we open the concert with the Gaita (Colombian native flute) playing „Cuatro palomas” original tune of Juan Lara from Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto that we arranged with some accords and gives some

modern flavors taking care to not lose the original receipt.

By the second song the ambient already was warm and we all were having a good trip, musicians and audience...

The combination of some smooth tunes with some Latin sound was making the magic, we as a band had a really nice vibe and journey...the audience express it as well, they never lie, we know that,
Gödör that very cold night, had a little melancholic air with just hours ahead of life at Erzsébet tér... but as always, the unique ambient that the people and the place together in combination is making never deceive the real character of a multi-cultural and cosmopolitan venue that should and will prevail in Budapest!

Thank you Gödör to give the opportunity to all of us to experiment in the city the rich variety of colors that the Arts can offer, music, theatre, exibitions, social afairs, human rights, social equality, unique performances, modern artistic expresions, children time...and much more that for sure is appreciate not only by the public in general but as we as artist as well.

Köszönöm szépen!

The group won the professional surchange of Budapest Fringe Festival in 2006. Their first album Son Maloso was published in 2007. The song Son Maloso was featured on the album published by World Music Network.

The group has been appeared at all the major hungarian festivals and in many alternative clubs. The musical world of Tumba y Quema is based on Colombian and Afro-Caribbean rhytms, spiced with a wide varitey of global music influences and this Latin spirit is empowered by modern beats of rock, reggae, hip-hop and afro-beat. Their music always radiates the joie de vivre characteristic of the Caribbean, a melting pot of races and cultures. In the concept of Unity in Diversity the group experiments with the rhytm and style of the world’s cultures that makes its unique sound.
Their songs are composed by Dávid Dely, the leader and percussionist of the group. Dávid is a musician, composer, multi-instrumentalist, founder of Tumba y Quema. His experience starts within his family, in Millero Congo as a percussionist. Later he takes part in several musical projects with many other musicians as well as folkloric, experimental and modern groups. After moving to Hungary in the recent years, he is dedicated to compose, produce and play music for different types of productions and artists with divers styles both acoustic and elecrtonic.
The secret of Tumba y Quema resides in that the modern sound doesn’t cover up the the traditional Afro-Caribbean folkloric roots.
